I never asked much of you Especially to leave so soon I can get what you need So please come with me And then we'll be free
2.
Thought of themselves Never of us Should you stay? We all make mistakes, we all grow up Love is selfless and kind But where do you draw the line? How many years? How many times? It's worth living Just to see a smile Try everything you can Then let go, see where it all goes Try everything you can
3.
With the words echoing down the halls I will prove to you what I am You showed me how to traverse this place Now I'll show you I can win the race
4.
Need to prove, they're flocking to this groove I'm self-sufficient and I know the rules, Thanks to those that came before for The tools I use, the knowledge in profuse Been told it's helpless to try Do what you can to survive Sometimes I feel like a boxer, For this chance to live free and prosper Can't get there without climbing the ladder Someone's above me, that's no matter Can I build a way round to the top? Why haven't others thought that before they rot? Who would see me building that route? With their guns aimed, ready to shoot? Doesn't feel as good, as knocking them down blind No great feeling when you invest in the mind But I need some way to prove and keep my honor So who would go that way, except to prove they walk on water? A battle of wits is like a battle of blades Which man's ego will be left to die in the shade? I took you down, not a sound Always someone else, in the know Careful of your back, when push comes to shove Cause you're nothing that can't be thrown away, They took me down, not a sound Grind my flesh into little bits Take him down, wear the crown Take, take him down
5.
You take what's sacred, revoke it to dirt There's a hole in my heart, an empty void It was filled with love, but now it's a blur Let's see strangers act out their love Feel wanted, escape from the truth That no one wants you, and neither do I The love I feel has no shape or form No flesh needed to feel fulfilled Hear the beast? Would love to kill him Feel my mind shut off, let's just leave it Help stop the beast From tearing me apart He just takes what he needs There's no stopping Let's throw him a bone so the chaos can cease This is not me This is not me This is not me You take what's sacred and you revoke it to dirt

Circle 02:53
There's no answers, there's only the search Seems I can't feel a connection, on this Earth But if you're truly yourself, who else is like you? Be ignorant, or search for a truth? But there's no answers, everything goes in circles It's the journey, not the end Sometimes I wonder if the search pushes me away So in some ways it's better, to just have faith If you're not improving or causing a change Then I see no point to live in this place If you can predict your life, from beginning to end You're ignoring the beauty, you'll never ascend The mystery, wonder, discovery of new It's liberating to break through, what's expected of you But there's no answers, everything goes in circles It's the journey, not the end Sometimes I wonder if the search pushes me away So in some ways it's better, to just have faith Everything goes in circles Everything goes in circles Everything goes in circles
8.
Clear the board, there's new words What do you see? I see a candle, a sword, maybe a crown It's in your mind, in your mind All this stress, why you down? What's with that frown? It's all in your mind, in your mind If you eat from the tree, the logic is all that you see What's your purpose, what's your dream? Why you living, what's your scheme? I can't fix your problems, neither can he or she Stuck in a thought prison, you know who holds the key There's a reason for death, so don't hold your breath Can't stay static, can't stay the same, Trust in the system, keep your thoughts tame It's in your mind, in your mind It's easy to get so down, But now you're saying that candle is something round It's in your mind Look at the sky Look at the sky There's nothing 'til you make something It's in your mind, in your mind Look at the sky Look at the sky

Wounds from before we met Can you fix them for me? I see you moving Why haven't you replied? What did you mean by yes? I doubt everything I question everything Planned nothing to meet you, To love you But yet made plans to rush you You came in and sat down We talked and laughed like years ago Sent long texts, opened up again Made plans to see you, I burned red Happy you said yes, I saw what you said You made mistakes, You were learning, just like me All I want is answers All I want is answers The truth seems simple Truth seems selfish Will you call it off? And only see me? It's been three days since we spoke last What does it mean? What does it mean? Reference the past As a kid I dreamed, as a kid I dreamed Take away the rest How'd it start? What made this part? The key's been lost, yet the lock is locked Humble yourself before God And learn to let it be, let it be Truth seems simple Truth seems selfish Truth seems simple Truth seems selfish I know that it might not happen But I know I've got to try The truth seems simple The truth seems selfish I know that it might not happen But I know I've got to try Got to try The truth seems simple The truth seems selfish I know that it might not happen But I know I've got to try Wounds from before we met Can you fix them for me?

about

Inscribed Sky is a concept album about love vs. lust and how our insecurities blur the line between them. Instead of learning to love ourselves and find a higher purpose in life a lot of times we look for external things to fill the void.... boy/girlfriends, fame or knowledge etc. But usually those are just temporary fixes, and when they go away we're back to feeling depressed.

The album is basically the journey of realizing that stuff and trying to face those deeper questions head on. Each song almost completely changes sounds, exploring a bunch of genres like rock, rap, jazz, electronic, ambient and more.

Thanks for listening.
